Anastasia Lyutova is one of the brightest singers of the modern Russian jazz scene. In 2019, Anastasia Lyutova and the band released the debut album «Some Like It Jazz» on the leading jazz label Venus Records in Japan, becoming the first Russian jazz band on the famous label. Anastasia appeared on the cover of the Jazz Perspective magazine.
A graduate of the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, vocalist, and arranger, Anastasia is a laureate of international competitions, including Gnesin jazz, Piano in Jazz, Jazz Birds. She was awarded the JAZZ 98.1 FM radio award in the «Discovery of the Year» and «Release of the Year» nominations. Anastasia also performed at the closing ceremony of the Moscow International Film Festival 2020.
Anastasia Lyutova and the Band are restoring the jazz mainstream to its former glory. The repertoire includes jazz standards of iconic composers of the 20th century (George Gershwin, Duke Ellington, Cole Porter, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Horace Silver, etc.), the legacy of which is reflected in various tribute programs. Moreover, the band sounds fresh and convincing, thanks to the original arrangements.
The Band features musicians from the first league of Russian jazz scene: Oleg Grymov – tenor saxophonist, who also plays alto and soprano saxophones, bass clarinet and flute, soloist of the Oleg Lundstrem Orchestra; Alexey Podymkin – renowned pianist and bandleader who collaborates with international jazz stars; Vladimir Koltsov-Krutov is one of the most sought-after double bass players in Russia; Alexey Bekker – not only a brilliant drummer but also a pianist and arranger.
Anastasia Lyutova Band performed at such international jazz festivals as the Future of Jazz, Koktebel Jazz Party, Triumph of Jazz, Jazz at the Old Fortress, the UNESCO International Jazz Day in St. Petersburg, and many others.
Anastasia Lyutova also collaborates with Marion Cowings, Daniil Kramer, Oleg Lundstrem Orchestra, Mussorgsky Jazz Orchestra, Igor Butman Moscow Jazz Orchestra, Leningrad Gramophone band.
